The VALUE COLLECTION 31325 is a Grade 5 steel split lock washer sized for 1/4 inch screws and finished with a zinc plating for corrosion resistance. Split lock washers create tension under a fastener head or nut to resist loosening caused by vibration, thermal cycling, or mechanical stress. The 31325 measures 0.252 to 0.26 inches inside diameter, 0.487 inches maximum outside diameter, and 0.062 inches thick. This is a standard inch-system fastener component used wherever secure, vibration-resistant assembly is required. Licensed tradespeople across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general mechanical service work keep these on hand as a routine installation consumable.
This split lock washer is suited to light-duty and medium-duty fastening applications in residential and commercial settings. It seats under a 1/4 inch fastener to maintain clamp load on sheet metal panels, equipment housings, electrical enclosures, and mechanical assemblies. The zinc-plated finish provides baseline protection against oxidation in indoor and sheltered outdoor environments. It is sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 250 pieces, making it appropriate for shop-stock replenishment or job-lot procurement by service contractors and maintenance teams.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service-stock split lock washer for use with 1/4 inch screws and bolts in standard inch-system fastening applications.
Split lock washers are installed between the fastener head or nut and the mating surface before final torque is applied. Power down or de-energize any equipment before accessing fastened enclosures or panels. Use appropriate hand tools and follow applicable codes such as the NEC for electrical enclosures or manufacturer torque guidance where specified. Do not reuse deformed or flattened lock washers, as a collapsed split ring no longer provides effective spring tension.
