The VALUE COLLECTION 261014 is a carbide-tipped aircraft extension drill bit designed for deep-reach drilling in metal fabrication, aerospace maintenance, and structural assembly work. The 7/32-inch (0.2188 inch decimal) diameter bit features a 135-degree split point for self-centering starts without a center punch, and a spiral flute design that clears chips efficiently during through-hole drilling. With a 2.5-inch flute length and a 6-inch overall length, this bit reaches into confined spaces and deep assemblies that standard-length drills cannot access. The carbide-tipped construction handles harder materials while the bright, uncoated finish keeps costs straightforward for general-purpose applications.
This drill bit is suited for licensed aircraft mechanics, sheet metal workers, and structural steel fabricators who need extended reach in tight or layered material stacks. The Series 2610 design follows NAS 907 standards, making it appropriate for aerospace and defense maintenance environments as well as industrial fabrication shops. Right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional drill press and hand-drill use. The tapered web with web thinning reduces thrust requirements and improves centering on hard or work-hardened materials.
Designed as a general-purpose aircraft extension drill for use in standard 3-jaw drill chucks accepting a straight-cylindrical shank. Suitable for hand drills, drill presses, and right-angle drill attachments used in aerospace, sheet metal, and structural fabrication work.
This bit is installed and used by aircraft mechanics, sheet metal workers, and machinists following applicable shop safety and trade procedures. Secure the workpiece firmly before drilling and verify drill chuck is tightened to prevent bit slippage. Use appropriate cutting fluid when drilling hardened steel or stacked materials to extend bit life and reduce heat. Follow applicable workplace safety standards and, in aviation environments, adhere to FAA-approved maintenance procedures for the airframe or structure being worked.
