The VALUE COLLECTION 261009 is a carbide-tipped aircraft extension drill bit designed for drilling in tight or deep-reach applications where a standard-length drill cannot access the work area. The bit measures 9/64 inch (0.1406 inch decimal) in diameter with a 1.75-inch flute length and a 6-inch overall length, giving technicians the extended reach required for aircraft, aerospace, and industrial structural work. The 135-degree split point is self-centering and web-thinned, reducing walk on entry and lowering the thrust needed to start the cut. Right-hand spiral flutes clear chips efficiently during drilling. The bright/uncoated finish is suitable for general-purpose use across a range of base materials.
This drill bit is intended for professionals working on aircraft structures, sheet metal assemblies, and other applications where extended reach is required. The Series 2610 design meets NAS 907 standards, making it appropriate for aerospace maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) operations, as well as industrial fabrication environments. A straight-cylindrical shank seats securely in standard drill chucks and magnetic-base drill holders. The two-flute configuration keeps the cutting geometry simple and effective for through-hole drilling in metal substrates.
Designed as a general-purpose aircraft extension drill bit conforming to NAS 907 standards; suitable for use in standard drill chucks and compatible with typical aerospace and industrial drilling setups requiring a 9/64 inch diameter bit.
Installation and use of this drill bit should be performed by qualified machinists, aircraft maintenance technicians, or metalworkers familiar with drill press and hand-drill procedures. Secure the workpiece firmly before drilling and ensure the chuck is properly tightened on the straight-cylindrical shank before operation. Always wear appropriate eye protection and follow applicable workplace safety standards when drilling metal. Inspect the carbide tip for chipping or wear before each use and replace the bit if damage is observed.
