The VALUE COLLECTION 239-9051 is a 5C steel collet stop designed for use with 5C collet systems on lathes and collet fixtures. The collet stop controls workpiece depth by providing a positive stop surface inside the collet, ensuring consistent part length during turning and machining operations. Constructed from steel, it offers the durability needed for repeated use in production and job-shop environments. The unit includes a threaded rod and features a 4-inch stud length. This part is typically installed by machinists and tool-room technicians setting up 5C collet chucks or closers.
The 239-9051 is suited for manual and CNC lathes equipped with 5C collet closers, as well as bench-top collet fixtures and spin fixtures that accept 5C tooling. It is a practical addition to production setups where repeatable workpiece positioning is required without individual part measurement between cycles. The included threaded rod allows for depth adjustment to accommodate different stock lengths.
Designed as a standard-style collet stop for use with 5C collet systems, including 5C collet chucks, collet closers, and bench collet fixtures that accept 5C tooling.
Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician. Before installing or adjusting the collet stop, ensure the lathe spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state. Thread the stop into the collet or collet closer body and adjust the threaded rod to the desired stop depth, then lock the rod securely before running parts. Verify the stop does not interfere with collet closure or workpiece ejection.
