The VALUE COLLECTION 230-4207 is a 5C round collet machined from steel for use in 5C-compatible spindles and collet chucks found on lathes, grinders, and milling machines. The collet accepts workpieces up to 7.00 mm in diameter and holds a total indicator reading (TIR) of 0.015 mm, providing the repeatable concentricity that precision turning and grinding operations demand. The internal thread measures 1.041 inches-24 and the external thread measures 1.242 inches-20, matching standard 5C nose geometry. It is installed and used by machinists, toolroom technicians, and CNC setup personnel in production and job-shop environments.
This collet is suited for light to medium-duty lathe work, second-operation turning, cylindrical grinding, and bench-top milling where a 5C spindle is already in service. The 7.00 mm bore size targets small-diameter bar stock, pins, and shaft blanks. It fits into any machine or fixture built to accept the 5C collet standard, making it a straightforward drop-in replacement or addition to an existing collet set.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or supplemental collet for any machine or fixture built to accept the standard 5C collet interface.
Installation is performed by machinists or toolroom technicians. Before inserting or removing the collet, bring the spindle to a full stop and follow lockout procedures per your machine tool manufacturer guidelines. Inspect the collet bore and spindle taper for chips or burrs before seating. Do not force the collet into a mismatched spindle nose, as doing so can damage both the collet and the machine spindle.
