The VALUE COLLECTION 22690 is a solid carbide abrasive bur with a taper and radius end geometry, designed for precision material removal in tight or contoured workspaces. Built to the SL-42 industry specification, it features a 0.125-inch cutting diameter and a 0.5-inch length of cut. The 0.125-inch shank fits standard rotary tool collets and die grinders used daily by machinists, tool-and-die workers, and maintenance technicians. The uncoated solid carbide head delivers consistent cutting performance on ferrous and non-ferrous metals, plastics, and composites without the variable bite of coated alternatives.
This bur is suited for deburring, chamfering, slotting, and contouring tasks in manufacturing, fabrication, and maintenance environments. The taper with radius end profile allows access into tapered bores, chamfered edges, and recessed features where flat-end or ball-end profiles cannot reach cleanly. It is a single-piece unit sold individually, making it a straightforward replacement or spot-purchase for bench technicians and shop floor operators.
Designed as a standard SL-42 abrasive bur for use with rotary tools and die grinders accepting a 0.125-inch shank collet.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or maintenance technicians using a die grinder or rotary tool with an appropriate collet. Ensure the tool is fully powered down and unplugged before inserting or removing the bur. Secure the shank fully in the collet to the recommended engagement depth per the tool manufacturer before operating. Eye protection and appropriate PPE are required when operating rotary cutting tools.
