The VALUE COLLECTION -22684-1 is a solid carbide abrasive bur designed for material removal, deburring, shaping, and surface finishing in metal fabrication and machining applications. Conforming to industry specification SA-51, this cylinder with flat end bur features a 1/4 inch cutting diameter and a 1/2 inch length of cut. The 1/8 inch shank fits standard rotary tool collets and die grinders commonly used by machinists, tool and die makers, and general metalworking trades. The uncoated solid carbide head delivers consistent cutting performance on ferrous and non-ferrous materials without additional surface treatment.
This bur is suited for precision deburring, port matching, and contour work in shop and field environments. The cylinder with flat end geometry allows flat-bottom cutting as well as side cutting along straight walls, making it practical for slot cleaning, chamfering, and light material removal in confined areas. Single-piece packaging makes it appropriate for individual replacement or spot addition to an existing bur set.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or addition for use with standard die grinders, rotary tools, and flex-shaft machines accepting a 1/8 inch collet.
Installation is performed by machinists or metalworking tradespeople using a compatible rotary tool or die grinder. Ensure the tool is fully powered off and the collet is released before inserting or removing the bur. Secure the shank fully into the collet before operating and confirm the collet nut is tightened to the tool manufacturer's specification. Always use appropriate eye protection and work-holding fixtures when operating rotary carbide burs.
