The VALUE COLLECTION 222-751 is a taper drill chuck arbor designed to connect a Jacobs Taper 33 (JT33) drill chuck to a machine spindle with a Number 2 Morse Taper (2MT) shank. The arbor serves as the mechanical interface between the chuck and the spindle, transmitting rotational force while maintaining accurate chuck alignment. Machinists and tool and die technicians install this type of arbor in drill presses, milling machines, and lathes equipped with a 2MT spindle socket. At 0.36 pounds, the unit is lightweight and straightforward to seat or remove with standard shop tooling.
This arbor is suited for use in machine shop environments where a JT33-mount chuck must be paired with a 2MT spindle. Typical applications include general-purpose drilling on bench-top and floor-standing drill presses, as well as light milling and boring setups. It is a direct-fit solution for any operation requiring a reliable JT33-to-2MT conversion without machining or custom fitting.
Designed as a standard replacement or spare arbor for machine tool setups using a JT33 drill chuck and a Number 2 Morse Taper spindle socket.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or machine tool technicians. Power down and lock out the machine before seating or removing the arbor. The 2MT shank is driven into the spindle socket by hand or with a soft mallet and is removed using a drift key through the spindle's drift slot. Never use the arbor with a chuck that does not match the JT33 taper specification, as an improper taper fit can result in chuck ejection during operation.
