The VALUE COLLECTION 211233PR is a flat socket cap screw designed for applications requiring a flush or countersunk fastener profile. It features an 82-degree flat head driven by a 7/32-inch hex socket and is fully threaded along its 1-1/4-inch overall length. The 3/8-24 UNF thread form provides fine-thread engagement suited to precision assemblies. Manufactured from alloy steel with a black oxide finish, this screw delivers solid mechanical strength and moderate corrosion resistance in controlled environments. It is installed by machinists, millwrights, maintenance technicians, and mechanical contractors working on machinery, fixtures, and structural assemblies.
This fastener is appropriate for industrial, OEM, and MRO applications where a low-profile head must sit flush with or below a mating surface. The 3/8-24 UNF thread designation makes it a common choice in precision mechanical assemblies, tooling fixtures, and machine components where fine-thread engagement and controlled clamping loads are required. The black oxide finish blends into ferrous assemblies and provides a degree of surface protection in dry or lightly oiled service conditions.
Designed as an OEM-style or replacement flat socket cap screw for any application accepting a 3/8-24 UNF fully threaded flat-head fastener conforming to ASME/ANSI B18.3 and ASTM F835.
Installation is performed with a 7/32-inch hex key or socket driver; ensure the mating countersink is machined to an 82-degree included angle for full head seating. De-energize, depressurize, or lock out any equipment before fastener removal or installation per applicable OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Do not substitute a coarser thread pitch where 3/8-24 UNF is specified, as thread engagement and preload will differ. Black oxide alone provides minimal corrosion protection in wet environments; apply a compatible thread lubricant or sealant if service conditions require it.
