The VALUE COLLECTION 210-4075 is an end mill holder designed for CNC machining centers and vertical milling machines equipped with an NMTB40 taper spindle. It accepts end mills with a 3/4 inch shank diameter and delivers a 2.31 inch projection from the spindle face, giving the cutter adequate clearance for most standard milling operations. The nose diameter measures 1-3/4 inches. With a total indicated runout (TIR) of 0.0004 inch, this holder maintains the concentricity required for accurate material removal and extended cutter life. Typically installed by machinists and CNC operators in production or job-shop environments.
This end mill holder is suited for use in NMTB40-spindle vertical machining centers handling ferrous and non-ferrous materials in both roughing and finishing operations. The 5/8-11 drawbar thread is standard for NMTB40 tooling, making this holder a straightforward replacement or additional holder in shops already running NMTB40 tooling systems. It does not feature through-coolant capability, so flood or mist coolant applied externally at the cutting zone is the appropriate cooling method for this holder.
Designed for use with NMTB40 taper spindle milling machines and machining centers that use a 5/8-11 drawbar thread. Compatible with 3/4 inch shank end mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine powered down and the spindle fully stopped before inserting or removing the holder. The drawbar must be tightened to the machine manufacturer's specified torque using the correct wrench to prevent holder pullout during cutting. Inspect the taper shank and spindle bore for nicks, chips, or contamination before seating the holder, as surface defects will increase runout beyond the rated TIR. Follow the machine manufacturer's tooling guidelines and applicable shop safety procedures when changing tooling.
