The VALUE COLLECTION 206128MSC is a Grade 8 alloy steel plow bolt designed for heavy-duty fastening applications in earthmoving, agricultural, and construction equipment. With a 3/4-10 UNC thread size and a 2-inch overall length (OAL), this bolt meets SAE J429 standards for mechanical and material properties. The uncoated finish is standard for applications where the bolt will be field-treated or used in abrasive environments where coatings would wear quickly. Grade 8 classification indicates a tensile strength suitable for high-stress structural joints. Installation is typically performed by equipment mechanics, millwrights, or field service technicians working on ground-engaging tooling.
Plow bolts are used wherever a flush or countersunk fastener head is required to prevent snagging on soil, aggregate, or other abrasive materials. Common applications include moldboard plows, grader blades, cutting edges, dozer blades, scraper bowls, and similar ground-engaging attachments. The flat, flush head profile keeps the fastener surface below or even with the working face of the wear component, extending both bolt and wear-plate service life. This bolt is appropriate for residential farm equipment as well as commercial heavy construction machinery.
Designed as a standard replacement plow bolt for ground-engaging attachments requiring a 3/4-10 UNC fastener with a 2-inch overall length and a Grade 8 alloy steel specification per SAE J429.
Installation should be performed by a qualified equipment mechanic or millwright. Disengage and lock out all power and hydraulic circuits before replacing any ground-engaging hardware. Use a properly rated torque wrench and appropriate Grade 8 heavy-hex nut to achieve the correct clamp load per the equipment manufacturer's service manual. Inspect the mating wear plate and countersink for wear or deformation before installing new fasteners.
