The VALUE COLLECTION 204-2032 is an ER20 series collet designed for use in CNC machining centers, manual milling machines, and router spindles that accept the ER20 collet standard. This collet holds a 0.5 inch tool shank and delivers a total indicator runout (TIR) of 0.0005 inches, providing the concentricity control required for precision drilling, reaming, and end-milling operations. Machinists and tool-room technicians rely on ER collets for their repeatable clamping force and wide clamping range relative to collet size. The 204-2032 weighs 0.1 pounds and is sold as a single unit.
ER20 collets are a widely adopted standard in both production and job-shop environments. This collet is suited for light to medium-duty machining operations where accurate tool holding is critical, including CNC routing, precision drilling, and finish milling. The 0.5 inch bore size accommodates standard half-inch shank cutting tools. It is appropriate for use in any spindle or collet chuck engineered to the ER20 specification.
Designed for use in any collet chuck or machine spindle built to the ER20 collet standard, accepting a 0.5 inch tool shank.
ER collets are installed and removed by a machinist or toolroom technician using the appropriate ER20 collet nut and spanner wrench. Always power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing tooling. Seat the collet fully into the collet nut before inserting the tool shank, and verify runout with a dial indicator after torquing the nut to confirm TIR is within specification. Do not use damaged or worn collets, as concentricity and clamping force will be compromised.
