The VALUE COLLECTION 204-1608 is an ER16 series collet designed for use in CNC machining centers, milling machines, and router spindles that accept ER16-style toolholding systems. With a 0.125 inch (1/8 inch) bore diameter and a total indicator runout (TIR) of 0.0005 inches, this collet provides the precision grip necessary for accurate cutting tool retention. It is installed and serviced by machinists and CNC technicians working in production and job-shop environments where consistent tool runout directly affects part quality and surface finish.
This collet is suited for light-duty to medium-duty milling, drilling, engraving, and routing applications where a 1/8 inch shank tool must be held securely. The ER16 form factor is widely used in compact spindles and toolholding chucks across both manual and CNC machine platforms. It is a standard single-piece collet sold individually, making it practical as a direct replacement or as an addition to an existing ER16 collet set.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or supplemental collet for use with ER16-compatible collet chucks and toolholding systems accepting 1/8 inch shank tools.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC technicians. Always power down and lock out the machine spindle before installing or removing a collet. Seat the collet fully into the ER16 chuck nut before threading onto the spindle, and torque the nut with the appropriate ER collet wrench to manufacturer specifications for the chuck being used. Inspect the collet bore and chuck taper for debris or damage before each installation to maintain TIR performance.
