The VALUE COLLECTION 20222 is a Grade 200 brass precision ball with a diameter of 0.125 inches (1/8 inch). It carries a sphericity tolerance of 0.0002 inches and a diameter deviation of 0.001 inches, making it suited for applications where consistent roundness and dimensional accuracy are required. Hardness is rated at 75 to 87 on the Rockwell B scale. These balls are sold in a package of 100 units and are appropriate for use by machinists, maintenance technicians, and industrial tradespeople working with valves, check mechanisms, or precision assemblies.
Grade 200 brass balls are commonly used in plumbing and HVAC valve assemblies, hydraulic and pneumatic check valves, ball-seat applications, and general industrial mechanisms where a corrosion-resistant, non-sparking metal ball is required. The brass construction offers good machinability and resistance to dezincification in low-pressure fluid systems. Typical installations include float valve seats, instrument housings, and small-bore check valve bodies found in both residential and light commercial plumbing and HVAC systems.
Designed as a standard-specification Grade 200 brass precision ball suitable for small-bore valve seats, check valve bodies, and precision ball-seat assemblies requiring a 1/8-inch diameter component.
Installation is typically performed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, or industrial mechanics during valve assembly or repair. Shut off system pressure and drain fluid lines before replacing or seating ball components. Inspect the mating valve seat for wear or scoring prior to installing a new ball. Handle precision balls with clean, dry tools to avoid contaminating the seating surface.
