The VALUE COLLECTION 2-MHF-18-60 is a metric hex head cap screw manufactured from Grade 316 Austenitic Grade A4 stainless steel with no coating applied. It carries an M18 x 2.50 thread size, a 60 mm length under head, and is fully threaded along the entire shank. The 27 mm hex drive size is compatible with standard metric hex wrenches and sockets. Grade 316 stainless steel provides elevated corrosion resistance compared to Grade 304, making this fastener well suited for wet, marine, and chemical-exposure environments. It conforms to DIN 933, the internationally recognized standard for fully threaded metric hex cap screws. Plumbers, pipefitters, HVAC technicians, and general mechanical contractors regularly specify this class of fastener in corrosion-critical assemblies.
This screw is appropriate for use in residential and commercial mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC installations where a metric fastener with strong corrosion resistance is required. Fully threaded construction allows clamping engagement across the entire bolt length, which is useful in short-grip or thin-flange applications. The uncoated finish keeps the native stainless steel surface intact, which is important in sanitary or chemically sensitive environments where coatings may be restricted. It is also commonly used in equipment mounting, pipe support bracketing, pump housing assembly, and enclosure hardware.
Designed as a DIN 933 fully threaded metric hex cap screw for use in M18 x 2.50 threaded applications requiring Grade 316 stainless steel fasteners.
Installation should be performed by a qualified mechanic, pipefitter, or HVAC technician using a calibrated metric socket or wrench sized to the 27 mm hex. Verify that the mating threaded component or nut is also rated for metric M18 x 2.50 thread pitch before assembly. Do not mix stainless steel fasteners with dissimilar metals in submerged or high-humidity environments without considering galvanic corrosion risk. Follow applicable mechanical and structural codes for the installation jurisdiction when specifying fastener grade and torque requirements.
