The VALUE COLLECTION 183-6809 is a single-end corner rounding end mill designed to machine consistent radius profiles on workpiece edges. Built from M2 high speed steel and finished with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating, it delivers improved wear resistance and longer tool life compared to uncoated HSS tooling. The cutter measures 1/2 inch in diameter with a 3/32 inch corner radius and features four right-hand flutes with right-hand cutting direction. The 1/2 inch shank diameter provides solid rigidity in standard end mill holders. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals use this tool in manual mills and CNC machining centers for edge-profiling operations on steel, aluminum, and similar materials.
This corner rounding end mill suits general-purpose edge-breaking and radius-forming applications in job shops, production machining environments, and tool rooms. The 3/32 inch radius is appropriate for light to medium profiling passes on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. The single-end configuration is standard for applications where the tool is held in a collet chuck or end mill holder and run at speeds appropriate for M2 HSS tooling. It is a practical choice for shops that need consistent radius geometry without the cost of solid carbide tooling.
Designed as a standard replacement or direct-use corner rounding end mill for manual mills and CNC machining centers accepting a 1/2 inch shank end mill holder or collet chuck.
Installation is performed by a machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool holder is clean and free of debris before seating the shank. Torque the set screw or collet nut to the tool holder manufacturer specification. Set cutting speeds and feeds according to established HSS guidelines for the workpiece material to avoid premature coating wear or tool failure.
