The VALUE COLLECTION 183-6791 is a single-end corner rounding end mill designed to produce consistent radius profiles on workpiece edges. Built from M2 high speed steel and coated with titanium nitride (TiN), it delivers improved surface hardness and wear resistance compared to uncoated HSS tooling. The cutter measures 1.5 inches in diameter with a 1/2-inch corner radius and runs on a 3/4-inch shank. Four right-hand flutes with a right-hand cutting direction provide efficient chip evacuation during profiling passes. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals rely on this geometry for deburring, edge blending, and radius milling on ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
This end mill is suited for conventional milling machines and CNC machining centers in job shop, production, and maintenance environments. It handles edge-rounding operations on steel, aluminum, and similar materials where a clean, uniform 1/2-inch radius is required. The TiN coating extends tool life in moderate-speed cutting applications, making it a practical choice for general-purpose radius profiling without the cost of carbide tooling. The single-end design is standard for this cutter class and allows straightforward tool holding in collet chucks and end mill holders accepting a 3/4-inch shank.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement-style corner rounding end mill for any milling machine or CNC machining center equipped with a tool holder accepting a 3/4-inch shank diameter.
Installation and use should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with milling operations and applicable shop safety procedures. Secure the shank fully in a properly sized collet or end mill holder and verify runout before cutting. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing or inspecting tooling. Do not exceed the recommended surface footage range for M2 HSS on the material being cut, and apply cutting fluid as appropriate for the workpiece material to extend tool life.
