The VALUE COLLECTION 183-6676 is a single-end corner rounding end mill designed to produce consistent radius profiles on workpiece edges in milling operations. Built from M2 high speed steel and coated with titanium nitride (TiN), it delivers improved wear resistance and extended tool life compared to uncoated HSS tooling. The cutter measures 7/8 inch in diameter with a 13/64 inch corner radius and features four right-hand flutes with a right-hand cutting direction. A 1/2 inch shank diameter provides solid rigidity in standard end mill holders and collet chucks. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals use this type of end mill on manual mills and CNC machining centers for edge profiling and radius blending work.
This corner rounding end mill is suited for use on ferrous and non-ferrous metals in general machining, tool-and-die, and fabrication environments. It is appropriate for both manual vertical knee mills and CNC machining centers where a 1/2 inch tool holder or collet is available. The TiN coating makes it a practical choice for higher-speed cuts in steel, cast iron, and aluminum applications where an uncoated HSS tool would wear prematurely. The single-end configuration means the cutting geometry is on one end only, keeping overall tool weight at 0.5 pounds for easy handling during setup.
Designed as a standard replacement or stock corner rounding end mill for use in any milling machine or machining center accepting a 1/2 inch shank end mill holder or collet chuck.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the drawbar or collet nut is properly torqued per the toolholder manufacturer specifications before beginning any cut. Verify runout with a dial indicator after seating to confirm the shank is fully engaged in the holder. Follow applicable shop safety procedures and machine guarding requirements during setup and operation.
