The VALUE COLLECTION 183-6643 is a single-end corner rounding end mill designed to produce precise radius profiles on workpiece edges. Built from M2 high speed steel and finished with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating, it delivers extended tool life in a range of ferrous and non-ferrous machining applications. The mill features a 1 inch radius, a 2.625 inch cutting diameter, and a 1 inch shank diameter, making it suited for heavy material removal on manual mills and CNC machining centers. Four right-hand flutes with a right-hand cutting direction provide efficient chip evacuation and a smooth finished edge contour. Machinists and toolroom operators working in job shops, production facilities, and maintenance environments rely on this geometry for consistent edge-break and radius work.
This corner rounding end mill is used in milling operations where a controlled radius must be applied to a part edge without secondary hand-finishing. It is appropriate for use in both manual vertical milling machines and CNC machining centers capable of accepting a 1 inch shank. Typical applications include tooling, fixtures, dies, and general fabricated components where a clean 1 inch radius profile is required. The TiN coating reduces friction and improves wear resistance, extending cutting intervals between tool changes in production runs.
Designed for use in milling machines and CNC machining centers with a collet, end mill holder, or toolholder sized for a 1 inch shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully de-energized and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into a properly sized end mill holder or collet and torque the retention hardware to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Inspect the TiN coating and cutting edges for chips or wear before use; do not run a damaged tool.
