The VALUE COLLECTION 183-6213 is a single-end corner rounding end mill designed to machine precise convex radii on workpiece edges. Built from M2 high speed steel and finished with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating, it delivers solid wear resistance and extended tool life in ferrous and non-ferrous machining applications. The cutter features a 5/16 inch radius, a 1-1/8 inch mill diameter, and a 3/4 inch shank diameter, with 4 right-hand flutes for efficient chip evacuation. Machinists and toolroom operators use this style of end mill on vertical mills, knee mills, and CNC machining centers when a consistent, smooth corner radius is required on production or prototype parts.
This corner rounding end mill is suited for both job-shop and production environments where edge-breaking or full radius profiling is performed on steel, aluminum, cast iron, and similar materials. The TiN coating reduces friction and buildup on the cutting edge, making it effective in moderate-speed operations without flood coolant when necessary. The single-end configuration is standard for this tool class and is installed directly into an appropriate collet or end mill holder matching the 3/4 inch shank diameter. It is appropriate for manual and CNC milling setups.
Designed as a standard single-end corner rounding end mill with a 3/4 inch shank, compatible with collets and end mill holders sized to accept 3/4 inch straight-shank tooling on vertical mills and CNC machining centers.
Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician. The machine spindle must be fully stopped and the tool changer or drawbar disengaged before inserting or removing the cutter. Seat the 3/4 inch shank fully into a clean, undamaged collet or end mill holder and torque the retention hardware to the machine or holder specification. Inspect the TiN coating and cutting edges for chips or wear before each use, and never run a damaged tool at operating speeds.
