The VALUE COLLECTION 182-6395 is a single-end corner rounding end mill designed to machine consistent radii on workpiece edges in milling operations. Built from M2 high speed steel with a bright/uncoated finish, it produces a 5/8 inch radius profile on a 1-15/16 inch mill diameter. The 1 inch shank diameter provides solid tool holder engagement. With 4 flutes and a right-hand cutting and flute direction, this tool delivers controlled chip evacuation and a smooth finish on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Machinists and tool and die professionals use it where edge-break geometry must be held to a consistent radius rather than a chamfer.
This end mill is suited for manual knee mills, CNC vertical machining centers, and horizontal milling setups where corner rounding on steel, aluminum, or similar machinable alloys is required. It is a single-end tool, meaning one cutting end per shank, which is typical for larger-diameter corner rounding profiles. The right-hand cut orientation is standard for conventional spindle rotation. Applications include die work, fixture plates, machine components, and any part requiring a uniform convex radius on an outside edge.
Designed for use in standard milling machine tool holders and collet chucks accepting a 1 inch shank diameter, including ER collets, end mill holders, and Weldon-style set-screw holders commonly found on vertical and horizontal milling equipment.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety procedures. Ensure the milling machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the tool holder and torque set screws or collet nuts per the tool holder specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before taking a cutting pass, particularly on larger-diameter end mills where runout has an amplified effect on surface finish.
