The VALUE COLLECTION 182-6080 is a single-end corner rounding end mill designed to produce consistent radius profiles on workpiece edges. Built from M2 high speed steel with a bright uncoated finish, it delivers reliable performance across a wide range of general machining applications. The cutter features a 1/8 inch radius and a 5/8 inch mill diameter with 4 right-hand flutes that promote smooth chip evacuation and edge quality. At 3 inches overall length with a 1/2 inch shank diameter, it mounts in standard end mill holders and collet chucks found on most vertical milling machines and machining centers. Machinists and toolroom operators select this geometry for edge-breaking, decorative rounding, and stress-relief chamfering on steel, aluminum, and similar machinable materials.
This corner rounding end mill suits job shop and production environments where consistent edge radii are required on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. It is appropriate for manual knee mills as well as CNC vertical machining centers. The 1/2 inch shank diameter accommodates standard toolholders, making it a straightforward drop-in for shops already running similar diameter cutters. Typical applications include profiling edges on fixtures, dies, mold components, and structural parts where sharp corners must be blended to a controlled 1/8 inch radius.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct addition for standard vertical milling machines and CNC machining centers that accept 1/2 inch shank end mills.
This tool is installed by a machinist or toolroom technician into a compatible collet chuck or end mill holder. Ensure the machine spindle is fully powered down and at rest before changing tooling. Verify shank seating depth and holder runout before cutting to avoid premature tool wear or edge chipping. Follow the machine manufacturer and applicable shop safety guidelines when setting feeds and speeds for the workpiece material.
