The VALUE COLLECTION 16677 is a Schedule 80 CPVC reducing coupling with slip ends, designed to connect a 3/4-inch pipe to a 1/2-inch pipe in a single fitting. Schedule 80 CPVC offers greater wall thickness and pressure tolerance compared to Schedule 40, making it suitable for demanding chemical and industrial plumbing applications. The slip-end configuration accepts solvent-welded connections on both sides. Plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting when transitioning between two pipe diameters in a CPVC distribution or process line.
This reducing coupling is used in residential and light commercial plumbing systems, as well as chemical distribution and industrial process piping where CPVC material is specified for corrosion or temperature resistance. Typical applications include potable water distribution, chemical feed lines, and hot-water supply runs where a pipe diameter reduction is required inline.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fitting for Schedule 80 CPVC piping systems using 3/4-inch and 1/2-inch slip-end connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and ASTM standards for CPVC solvent-cement joints. Shut off and depressurize the line completely before cutting or removing any existing fitting. Use only CPVC-rated solvent cement and primer; do not substitute PVC cement. Allow full cure time before restoring system pressure.
