The VALUE COLLECTION 15621 is a wrot copper pipe adapter designed to transition between a 1-1/4 inch copper socket (C) connection and a 1 inch male threaded (M) connection. Wrot copper — also called wrought copper — is manufactured from worked copper rather than cast, resulting in a denser grain structure and greater pressure integrity at solder joints. This adapter is a standard fitting used in potable water supply, hydronic heating, and general plumbing distribution systems. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this type of fitting when reducing pipe size or connecting copper tubing runs to threaded components such as valves, drop-ear elbows, or threaded male adapters.
This adapter suits residential and light commercial plumbing applications where a copper sweat connection must transition to a male NPT threaded end. Typical installations include water supply lines, recirculation loops, and hydronic distribution manifolds where a size reduction from 1-1/4 inch to 1 inch is required. The C x M configuration means the larger 1-1/4 inch end accepts copper tube for soldering, while the 1 inch end threads into a female-threaded fitting or valve body. This SKU is sold in a package quantity of 2.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard-service fitting for residential and commercial copper plumbing systems requiring a 1-1/4 inch C to 1 inch M adapter configuration.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and IPC requirements. Shut off and depressurize the water supply and drain the line before cutting or sweating any fitting. Clean and flux both the copper tube end and the socket before soldering; use lead-free solder where required by code for potable water systems. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threaded end before threading into the mating female connection — do not over-tighten threaded joints.
