The VALUE COLLECTION 14442961018000S is a straight-flute chucking reamer designed to finish-ream bored or drilled holes to a precise diameter of 1.125 inches. Constructed from high-speed steel (HSS) with a bright, uncoated finish, it delivers consistent sizing performance in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The straight-cylindrical shank seats directly in a drill chuck or collet holder. Overall length is 11 inches, with a 2-7/8-inch flute length that provides adequate chip clearance on through and blind-hole applications. Right-hand spiral flutes pull chips forward and improve surface finish compared to straight flutes. Machinists, tool-and-die workers, and maintenance technicians are the primary users.
This reamer is suited for machine-shop and maintenance applications where a 1-1/8-inch finished bore is required. It is run in a drill press, vertical mill, or CNC machining center at reduced speeds with cutting fluid to achieve the final hole tolerance. The right-hand cutting direction is compatible with standard spindle rotation. Applications include bearing seat finishing, bushing installation prep, and precision hole sizing on structural or mechanical assemblies requiring close-tolerance fits.
Designed as a general-purpose chucking reamer for use in drill presses, vertical milling machines, and CNC machining centers equipped with a chuck or collet capable of holding a straight-cylindrical shank at the 1-1/8-inch diameter range.
A licensed machinist or qualified maintenance technician should install and operate this reamer. Power down and lock out the spindle before inserting or removing the tool from the chuck or collet. Run at reduced spindle speeds compared to drilling, and apply an appropriate cutting fluid to extend tool life and achieve the target surface finish. Do not force the reamer into an undersized hole — the pre-drilled or bored hole should be within a few thousandths of the finished diameter before reaming.
