The VALUE COLLECTION 14442960131600S is a high-speed steel (HSS) chucking reamer designed to finish-ream drilled or bored holes to precise tolerances in metal workpieces. The tool measures 0.8125 inches (13/16 inches) in diameter with a 9-1/2 inch overall length and a 2-1/2 inch spiral flute length. The straight-cylindrical shank seats directly into a drill press chuck, lathe tailstock, or CNC turret. Right-hand spiral flutes with a right-hand cutting direction channel chips away from the cutting edge during operation, supporting cleaner hole finishes in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The bright, uncoated HSS construction is suited for general-purpose reaming in machine shops, maintenance facilities, and production environments.
This chucking reamer is used in machine shop and industrial maintenance applications where a drilled hole must be brought to a finished size with tight dimensional control. Typical install scenarios include reaming bearing bores, bushing seats, and precision pin holes in steel, cast iron, aluminum, and similar machinable materials. It is run in a drill press, lathe, or CNC machine and is appropriate for both production runs and one-off repair work. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals are the primary users of this tool type.
Designed as an OEM-style chucking reamer for use in any machine tool equipped with a chuck or collet capable of accepting a straight-cylindrical shank in the 13/16 inch diameter range.
Chucking reamers are installed and operated by machinists or tool-and-die technicians using drill presses, lathes, or CNC machines. Before mounting, ensure the machine is fully powered down and locked out per applicable OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Secure the shank firmly in the chuck or collet before operation, and always use the appropriate cutting fluid for the workpiece material to extend tool life and improve surface finish. Do not use a chucking reamer to remove excessive stock; pre-drill or bore the hole to within the recommended allowance before reaming.
