The VALUE COLLECTION 14442960053200S is a high-speed steel chucking reamer designed to bring bored or drilled holes to precise final diameter. It features a 5/32-inch (0.1562 inch decimal) cutting diameter, a 4-inch overall length, and a 1-inch spiral flute with right-hand cut and right-hand spiral direction. The straight-cylindrical shank seats securely in standard drill press chucks, mill chucks, and floating reamer holders. The bright, uncoated HSS construction gives machinists a reliable general-purpose tool suited for reaming holes in ferrous and non-ferrous materials to close tolerances.
This reamer is used in machine shop, toolroom, and light manufacturing environments where hole diameter and surface finish must meet tight specifications. It is appropriate for use on drill presses, milling machines, and CNC machining centers equipped with a floating holder. Typical applications include finishing holes in mild steel, aluminum, brass, and similar machinable materials. This is a single-piece, individually packaged tool intended for professional machining use.
Designed as a standard chucking reamer for use in drill press, mill, or CNC setups accepting a straight-cylindrical shank tool in the applicable diameter range.
Chucking reamers should be installed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the chuck is clean and undamaged before seating the shank. Use a floating reamer holder when possible to allow self-centering and prevent bell-mouthing. Run at appropriate cutting speeds for the workpiece material and apply cutting fluid to extend tool life and improve surface finish.
