The VALUE COLLECTION 1429563RMP20311 is a mildly activated rosin (RMA) cored solder in a 63/37 tin-lead alloy formulation. The 63/37 eutectic ratio means the alloy transitions directly from liquid to solid without a plastic phase, producing reliable, low-resistance joints. At 21 gauge with a 58-core flux configuration, this solder feeds smoothly through standard soldering irons and stations. It is used primarily for precision electronics assembly, PCB rework, and electrical connection work where a clean, low-residue flux is required. Licensed electricians, electronics technicians, and skilled HVAC controls technicians are the typical end users.
This solder is suited for through-hole and surface-mount rework applications in both residential and light commercial environments. The mildly activated rosin flux provides enough activation to cut through light oxidation on component leads and pads without leaving the aggressive residue associated with fully activated (RA) flux cores. It is well matched to applications where post-solder cleaning is preferred but not always mandatory, including control board repair, low-voltage wiring terminations, and sensor lead connections.
Designed as a general-purpose RMA cored solder for electronics assembly, PCB rework, and low-voltage electrical connection applications where a 63/37 eutectic tin-lead alloy with mildly activated rosin flux is appropriate.
Soldering work on live or energized circuits is hazardous — always de-energize and discharge the assembly before applying solder. Use appropriate ventilation or a fume extractor, as flux vapors are an inhalation hazard. A temperature-controlled soldering iron is recommended to avoid overheating sensitive components or lifting PCB pads. Post-solder cleaning with an appropriate flux remover is advisable on assemblies subject to moisture or condensation.
