The VALUE COLLECTION 1401-210 is a male barbed tube reducing tee designed for joining flexible tubing runs where a branch line of a different diameter is required. Constructed from polyvinylchloride (PVC), this fitting accepts 1-1/2-inch barbs on the two run ends and a 3/4-inch barb on the branch outlet. The barbed design creates a secure, friction-based connection with flexible tubing without the need for threaded tools or solvent cement. It is a common component in irrigation, pool and spa plumbing, chemical feed lines, and general fluid-transfer systems. Plumbers, pool technicians, and irrigation installers typically handle this type of fitting.
This reducing tee is suited for low-pressure fluid-transfer applications using flexible tubing in residential and light commercial settings. Typical installations include pool and spa circulation lines, drip and spray irrigation laterals, and utility water lines where a 3/4-inch branch must be tapped off a 1-1/2-inch main run. The PVC construction makes it appropriate for cold- and ambient-temperature water service as well as many common chemicals compatible with PVC.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for flexible tubing systems requiring a 1-1/2 x 1-1/2 x 3/4-inch barbed reducing tee connection in PVC-compatible applications.
Shut off flow and relieve system pressure before removing or installing any barbed fitting. Barbed fittings are typically pushed into flexible tubing by hand; hose clamps are recommended for pressurized or vibration-prone lines. PVC barbed fittings should not be used in applications exceeding the material temperature or pressure rating, and should not be used with petroleum-based fluids unless confirmed PVC-compatible. Follow local plumbing codes, including IPC guidelines, for approved fitting materials and installation methods.
