The VALUE COLLECTION 13385 is a malleable iron countersunk pipe plug designed to seal threaded pipe openings in plumbing, HVAC, and industrial piping systems. Rated at 300 psi for liquid and gas service and 150 psi for steam, this Class 150 fitting handles demanding pressure applications. The galvanized finish provides corrosion resistance suited to both wet and dry service environments. With a 1-1/4 inch fitting size, it threads directly into standard NPT female openings to create a flush, countersunk closure. Plumbers, pipefitters, and mechanical contractors install this type of fitting during system construction, pressure testing, and service work.
This countersunk plug is suited for residential and commercial pipe systems where a flush-face closure is required at an unused port or branch outlet. Typical applications include capping open tees, crosses, or unions during system modifications, pressure tests, or when decommissioning a branch line. The galvanized malleable iron construction makes it appropriate for gas piping, water lines, steam distribution at or below its rated pressure, and general industrial service. It ships in a package quantity of five units, which aligns with the minimum order quantity.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard service fitting for 1-1/4 inch NPT threaded female pipe connections in Class 150 malleable iron piping systems.
This fitting is installed by licensed plumbers or pipefitters in accordance with applicable codes such as the IPC or IFGC. De-pressurize and isolate the affected pipe section completely before removing or installing any threaded fitting. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads before installation and tighten to a snug, leak-free engagement without over-torquing the malleable iron. Verify system pressure rating compatibility before returning the line to service.
