The VALUE COLLECTION 13059 is a Class 150 malleable iron pipe coupling designed for joining threaded pipe sections in liquid, gas, and steam service lines. Rated at 300 psi for liquid and gas applications and 150 psi for steam, this coupling provides reliable mechanical jointing in a compact 1/8 inch fitting size. The galvanized finish offers corrosion resistance in exposed or moderately corrosive environments. Plumbers, pipefitters, and mechanical contractors install this type of fitting in light commercial and residential piping systems where threaded iron pipe assemblies are required.
This 1/8 inch coupling is suited for low-pressure gas distribution lines, water supply piping, steam heating systems, and compressed air lines that fall within the rated pressure limits. The malleable iron construction handles the mechanical stress of threaded assembly and field conditions better than cast iron alternatives. The galvanized exterior is appropriate for dry indoor installations and light outdoor exposures. Each package contains 5 couplings, making it practical for service vans and repair stock.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fitting for 1/8 inch threaded iron pipe systems in residential and light commercial plumbing, gas, and steam applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable local codes, the International Plumbing Code, and the International Fuel Gas Code where gas service is involved. Always depressurize and drain the line before removing or installing threaded fittings. Apply appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to male threads before assembly, and do not overtighten, as malleable iron threads can crack under excessive torque. Verify the system pressure does not exceed the rated limits for the intended service type before returning the line to service.
