The VALUE COLLECTION 11634 is a 410 stainless steel flat stock bar measuring 24 inches in overall length, 1 inch in width, and 1/8 inch thick. Grade 410 is a martensitic stainless steel alloy known for moderate corrosion resistance, high strength, and hardness after heat treatment. This flat bar is a standard raw material form used in fabrication, machining, and light structural applications across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general trade shops. It weighs 0.86 pounds per piece. Length tolerance is +0.250 to 0.000 inches, width tolerance is +0.005 to 0.000 inches, and thickness tolerance is 0.001 inches, making it suitable for work requiring consistent stock dimensions.
This flat stock is used in trade and industrial fabrication environments where a readily machinable, weldable stainless steel bar is needed. Typical applications include brackets, straps, shims, spacers, repair stock, and custom-cut components in residential and commercial mechanical systems. It is commonly cut, drilled, or ground to size in the field or shop by HVAC technicians, plumbers, electricians, pipefitters, and general metal fabricators. Each piece ships individually and is sold as a single unit.
Designed as a general-purpose raw flat bar stock suitable for fabrication, repair, and custom component work across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and industrial trade applications where 410 stainless steel material is specified.
Cut, drill, grind, or machine this flat stock using tools appropriate for stainless steel — carbide-tipped blades and drill bits are recommended to prevent work hardening at cut edges. Always wear appropriate PPE including eye protection and cut-resistant gloves when processing stainless flat bar. Deburr all cut edges before installation in any assembly to prevent injury or damage to adjacent components. When welding 410 stainless, follow applicable AWS and shop procedures for martensitic alloys, as post-weld heat treatment may be required.
