The VALUE COLLECTION 112329 is a mounted flap wheel abrasive designed for precision surface finishing, deburring, and blending on metal and other hard materials. The wheel measures 1-3/16 inches in diameter with a 3/8 inch face width, and mounts via a 1/8 inch shank for use in die grinders, rotary tools, and drill press chucks. Aluminum oxide coated cloth flaps at 180 grit deliver a very fine cutting action suited for final-pass finishing and light material removal. Maximum rated speed is 30,000 RPM. This tool is a standard consumable used by machinists, fabricators, and maintenance technicians for controlled abrasive work in tight or contoured areas.
This mounted flap wheel is well suited for interior bore work, cavity finishing, and contoured surface blending where larger wheels cannot reach. The small diameter and narrow face width make it effective in die work, mold finishing, pipe ID work, and weld seam cleanup on tubing. It is appropriate for use in both shop and field settings wherever a rotary tool or die grinder is accessible. The very fine 180 grit grade makes it a finishing-stage tool rather than a stock-removal tool, so it is typically used after coarser abrasive passes are complete.
Designed for use with standard die grinders, rotary tools, and flexible shaft machines accepting a 1/8 inch shank. Suitable as a replacement mounted flap wheel for any application requiring a 1-3/16 inch diameter, 3/8 inch face, 180 grit aluminum oxide finishing wheel.
Install the 1/8 inch shank securely into the collet of the rotary tool or die grinder before operation. Verify that the tool's rated RPM does not exceed the 30,000 RPM maximum rating of this wheel before use. Wear appropriate eye protection and ensure the workpiece is secured. Do not apply excessive lateral pressure against the flaps, as the wheel is designed for light finishing contact rather than aggressive stock removal.
