The VALUE COLLECTION 112089 is a mounted flap wheel abrasive designed for precision deburring, blending, and surface finishing on metal workpieces. It features a 1/8-inch shank mount for use in die grinders, rotary tools, and drill presses. The wheel measures 0.75 inches in outside diameter with a 0.375-inch face width, and uses aluminum oxide coated cloth backing rated for very fine, 180-grit material removal. With a maximum operating speed of 35,000 RPM, it is suited for controlled, low-stock-removal finishing passes. Machinists, tool-and-die workers, and metal fabricators reach for this type of wheel when blending welds or refining internal bores and contoured surfaces.
This mounted flap wheel is used in metalworking applications where a rigid grinding wheel or sanding roll would not conform to irregular or contoured geometry. Common applications include deburring drilled holes, cleaning up weld beads in tight spaces, and finishing the inside surfaces of pipe fittings, castings, or machined components. Its small diameter and shank-mount configuration make it accessible in areas where larger abrasive tooling cannot reach. It is appropriate for both bench and portable rotary tool setups.
Designed for use with die grinders, rotary tools, and drill presses equipped with a standard 1/8-inch collet or chuck. Suitable for ferrous and non-ferrous metal finishing applications.
This abrasive is installed by a machinist or fabricator by inserting the 1/8-inch shank into the collet or chuck of the rotary tool and tightening securely before operation. Verify that the tool spindle speed does not exceed the 35,000 RPM maximum rating marked on the wheel. Always wear appropriate eye and face protection when operating mounted abrasives. Inspect the flap wheel for damage before each use and discard any wheel showing tears, loose flaps, or shank deformation.
