Carrying the ANSI insert code TPU432 and ISO code TPU220408, this triangular insert features a TiC and TiN multilayer CVD coating applied over a C5 through C7 carbide substrate. The 60-degree included angle, 11-degree relief angle, and positive side clearance geometry make it well suited for general-purpose external and internal turning. The inscribed circle measures 0.5 inches, insert length is 12.7 mm, insert thickness is 0.1875 inches, and the corner radius is 0.03125 inches (1/32 inch).
This insert is intended for machining ISO material groups M and P, covering a broad range of steel, stainless steel, and ferritic/martensitic alloys.
