The VALUE COLLECTION 112071 is a mounted flap wheel designed for precision surface finishing, deburring, and light material removal on metal, wood, and composite surfaces. This small-diameter rotary abrasive tool mounts via a 1/8 inch shank, making it compatible with standard die grinders, rotary tools, and drill presses. The wheel measures 3/4 inch in outer diameter with a 3/16 inch face width, and carries a 320 grit aluminum oxide abrasive coating rated extra fine grade. Maximum operating speed is 35,000 RPM. The cloth backing with X-weight construction provides controlled flexibility during use, allowing the abrasive to conform to contoured surfaces. Machinists, tool and die technicians, and metal fabricators typically use this wheel for final-stage finishing passes.
This mounted flap wheel suits bench-mounted or handheld rotary tool applications where a small contact area and fine grit are needed. Typical uses include light deburring of drilled or machined holes, blending weld seams, smoothing inside bores and slots, and finishing hard-to-reach areas on machined components. Its extra fine 320 grit designation makes it appropriate for final finishing work rather than aggressive stock removal. The compact 3/4 inch diameter allows access to tight spaces that larger grinding wheels cannot reach.
Designed for use with die grinders, rotary tools, and drill press setups accepting a 1/8 inch shank mounted abrasive wheel. Verify that the host tool is rated to meet or exceed 35,000 RPM before mounting.
Power down and unplug or lock out the host tool before mounting or removing the wheel. Inspect the wheel for damage before each use and do not operate above the 35,000 RPM maximum rated speed. Secure the shank firmly in the collet or chuck and ensure no lateral wobble before starting. Eye protection and appropriate personal protective equipment should be worn during operation per standard shop safety practice.
