The VALUE COLLECTION 101569PR is a 1/2-13 cup point set screw manufactured from Grade 8 alloy steel for high-strength fastening applications. This fully-threaded, headless fastener measures 5/8 inches in overall length and is driven by a 1/4 inch hex key. The cup point geometry bites into a shaft surface to resist rotation and axial movement without protruding above the workpiece. It meets ASME/ANSI B18.3 and ASTM F912 standards. Machinists, millwrights, and maintenance technicians use this screw to secure pulleys, gears, collars, and sprockets to shafts in industrial and mechanical assemblies.
This set screw is suited for shaft-to-hub locking in rotating equipment, conveyor systems, motor drives, and general mechanical assemblies where a low-profile, flush fastener is required. The UNC thread standard ensures broad compatibility with standard threaded bores. The Grade 8 alloy steel construction provides the torsional strength needed in high-vibration or high-torque environments common in manufacturing and industrial maintenance settings.
Designed for use in any standard 1/2-13 UNC tapped bore requiring a cup point set screw per ASME/ANSI B18.3 and ASTM F912 specifications.
Installation is performed by machinists, millwrights, or qualified maintenance technicians using a calibrated 1/4 inch hex key or torque-limiting hex driver. Ensure the shaft and bore are clean and free of debris before installation. De-energize and lock out all rotating equipment before servicing any shaft-mounted components. Do not exceed the rated torsional capacity of the fastener by using extended-handle or impact-assisted drivers without torque control.
