The VALUE COLLECTION 101469PR is a cup point set screw designed for shaft-to-hub locking applications in mechanical assemblies. Manufactured from Grade 8 alloy steel, it delivers high hardness and strong axial holding force when fully seated. The screw measures 3/8-16 thread size at 2 inches in overall length and is driven with a 3/16-inch hex key. It conforms to ASME/ANSI B18.3 and ASTM F912 standards. Machinists, millwrights, and mechanical contractors install this fastener in couplings, collars, pulleys, and similar components where a recessed, flush-mount clamp point is required.
This set screw is suited for general industrial and commercial mechanical applications. The cup point geometry bites into the shaft surface to resist rotational and axial movement under load. Typical installations include motor shaft collars, conveyor components, gear hubs, and rotating assemblies across HVAC equipment, pump assemblies, and light manufacturing machinery. It is sold in multiples of 10 per order with a package quantity of 1.
Designed as a standard replacement or stock set screw for any 3/8-16 UNC tapped bore requiring a cup point fastener per ASME/ANSI B18.3 specifications.
Installation is performed by machinists or qualified mechanical technicians using a 3/16-inch hex key or Allen wrench. De-energize and lock out all rotating equipment before installing or removing set screws. Thread the screw in by hand to verify engagement before applying torque to avoid cross-threading. Do not substitute a non-rated fastener in applications requiring Grade 8 performance.
