The VALUE COLLECTION 03536034 is a single-point diamond dresser designed for truing and dressing abrasive grinding wheels. Built around a 3/4-carat diamond, this tool removes glazed or loaded material from a wheel face to restore cutting action and maintain precise wheel geometry. The 1/4-inch shank diameter fits standard dresser holders and tool post mounts common on surface, cylindrical, and bench grinders. The Small Landis point style produces a consistent, controlled contact zone suited to general-purpose dressing operations. At 0.2 pounds, it is lightweight and easy to handle during setup. Installation and use require no special adapters beyond a compatible shank holder.
This diamond dresser is suited for machine shops, grinding departments, and tool rooms running surface grinders, cylindrical grinders, or bench grinder setups that require regular wheel conditioning. The Small Landis point configuration is a widely used geometry for production and maintenance dressing on vitrified and resin-bonded wheels. The 7/16-inch head diameter and 5/8-inch head thickness keep the contact profile compact and controllable. It is not resettable, so once the diamond is worn, the dresser is replaced rather than recharged.
Designed for use in standard 1/4-inch shank dresser holders on surface grinders, cylindrical grinders, and bench grinders that accept single-point diamond dressers.
Diamond dressers are installed by machinists and grinding machine operators using a compatible shank holder or tool post. Before mounting or adjusting the dresser, power down and lock out the grinder per applicable machine safety procedures. Secure the shank fully in the holder to prevent movement during contact with the rotating wheel. Always approach the wheel at the recommended dresser angle for the specific wheel type being conditioned — consult the grinding wheel manufacturer guidelines for dressing angle and infeed rate.
