The VALUE COLLECTION 02L20600 is a galvanized steel pipe nipple designed for threaded pipe assemblies in plumbing, mechanical, and industrial piping systems. Measuring 2 inches in nominal pipe size and 60 inches in length, this Schedule 40 nipple is threaded on both ends for direct connection to fittings, valves, or other threaded pipe components. The hot-dip galvanized coating provides corrosion resistance for use in wet, damp, or exposed environments. At 30.43 pounds, this is a substantial, full-length nipple suited for runs requiring fewer joints. It is installed by licensed plumbers and pipefitters working on water distribution, industrial process lines, fire protection, and general mechanical piping.
This pipe nipple is appropriate for residential and commercial plumbing and mechanical applications where Schedule 40 wall thickness and galvanized protection are specified. Typical uses include water supply lines, sprinkler system risers, industrial fluid transport, and general-purpose threaded piping assemblies. The 60-inch length makes it well suited for longer straight runs between threaded connections, reducing the number of couplings needed in a system.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation component compatible with standard 2-inch NPT threaded fittings, couplings, and valves used in Schedule 40 galvanized steel piping systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable plumbing codes such as the IPC or local jurisdiction requirements. Shut off and depressurize the supply line before beginning any threaded pipe work. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to all male threads before assembly, and use a pipe wrench sized for 2-inch pipe to achieve a secure, leak-free connection. Do not over-tighten threaded connections, as this can crack fittings or damage threads.
