The VALUE COLLECTION 0204ABPF is a No. 2 flat head Phillips sheet metal screw designed for fastening thin-gauge sheet metal and light-duty sheet materials. The screw measures 0.25 inches in overall length and features a Type AB point, which combines the self-tapping thread of a Type A screw with a gimlet point for easier starting in pre-punched or pre-drilled holes. Manufactured from Grade 1016/1024 steel with a zinc finish, it offers corrosion resistance suitable for standard indoor and sheltered applications. A No. 1 Phillips driver bit is required. Installation professionals across HVAC, electrical, and light fabrication trades use this fastener for securing sheet metal panels, ductwork components, junction boxes, and similar assemblies.
This screw is used in residential and light commercial applications wherever a low-profile flat head and Phillips drive are required in thin sheet metal. Common installation scenarios include securing HVAC duct panels, electrical enclosure covers, and sheet metal housings. The flat head seats flush with or slightly below the surface of the material, making it appropriate where a protruding head is not acceptable. Sold in multiples of 100 per order.
Designed for use in pre-punched or pre-drilled sheet metal applications typical of HVAC ductwork, electrical enclosures, and light sheet metal fabrication where a No. 2 flat head Phillips fastener with a Type AB point is specified.
Installation is performed by HVAC technicians, electricians, and sheet metal workers using a No. 1 Phillips driver bit in a manual or powered screwdriver. Always pre-punch or pre-drill the correct pilot hole size for the material gauge to avoid material distortion or screw breakage. Do not overdrive — the flat head should seat flush without stripping the material. Follow applicable codes such as SMACNA duct construction standards or NEC requirements for electrical enclosure fastening.
