The VALUE COLLECTION 01190032 is a cobalt jobber-length drill bit designed for demanding drilling applications in hard and abrasive materials. Built to heavy-duty grade, it features a 135-degree split point that reduces walking and requires no center punch on most surfaces. The bit measures 3/64 inch (0.0469 inch decimal) in diameter with a 1-3/4 inch overall length and a 3/4 inch flute length. With a right-hand, regular spiral flute and a straight cylindrical shank, it fits standard drill chucks. The straw finish is characteristic of the cobalt alloy and does not serve as a performance coating. Licensed machinists, pipefitters, and HVAC sheet-metal technicians commonly reach for this size in precision hole-making tasks.
This drill bit is suited for cutting stainless steel, hardened materials, and other high-strength alloys where high-speed steel (HSS) bits lose their edge prematurely. The 3/64 inch diameter makes it appropriate for small-diameter pilot holes, rivet holes, and precision sheet-metal work in both residential and commercial trade environments. The two-flute regular spiral design clears chips efficiently in through-hole drilling on thin and medium-thickness stock.
Designed as a general-purpose jobber drill bit compatible with standard straight-shank drill chucks across handheld drills, drill presses, and milling machine collets sized to accept a straight cylindrical shank in the 3/64 inch diameter range.
This bit is installed by licensed machinists, pipefitters, electricians, or sheet-metal tradespeople using standard keyed or keyless drill chucks. Secure the shank fully in the chuck before operation and confirm the chuck is tightened to prevent slipping. When drilling stainless steel or hardened stock, use a slow, consistent feed rate with cutting fluid to extend bit life and prevent work hardening. Inspect the bit for chipping or heat discoloration before each use, and replace if the cutting edges show signs of wear.
