The VALUE COLLECTION 01-1047 is a 7-inch silicon carbide fiber disc designed for aggressive material removal on hard surfaces. It uses a resinoid bond to hold 80-grit abrasive grain to a fiber backing, delivering consistent cut rate across the disc face. The medium-grade grit makes it suitable for grinding, blending, and surface prep work where a moderate level of material removal is needed without excessive surface damage. Installation is via a 7/8-inch arbor hole, which fits standard backup pads used on angle grinders and disc sanders. Maximum rated speed is 8,500 RPM. This disc is typically installed and used by fabricators, welders, and maintenance technicians working on metal, masonry, or composite surfaces.

This disc is intended for use on angle grinders or die grinders equipped with a compatible 7-inch backup pad and 7/8-inch arbor. It is suited for surface conditioning, weld blending, rust removal, and general stock removal on ferrous and non-ferrous metals, as well as stone and masonry. The silicon carbide abrasive material performs well on harder, brittle substrates where aluminum oxide would wear prematurely. Each package contains one disc.
