The VALUE COLLECTION 01-1018 is a 5-inch aluminum oxide fiber disc designed for heavy material removal on metal, weld seams, and rough surfaces. Running at up to 12,000 RPM on a resinoid bond backing, this very coarse 24-grit disc cuts aggressively and is suited for grinding, blending, and surface prep work. The fiber backing provides rigidity and durability under load. Attachment is via a standard 7/8-inch arbor hole, compatible with common angle grinders and disc sanders. Metal fabricators, welders, and general tradespeople are the primary users for this type of abrasive.

This disc is used in residential and commercial fabrication, maintenance, and construction settings. Typical applications include weld spatter removal, rust and scale removal, edge grinding, and aggressive surface conditioning on ferrous metals and other hard materials. The very coarse grade makes it best suited for initial stock removal rather than finishing passes.
