The UTILITY ENTERPRISES 12-915 is a medium-body, clear solvent cement formulated for joining PVC plastic pipe and fittings. Packaged in a 1-pint can with an integrated dauber, it delivers a fast-set, low-VOC bond suited for pressure and drain applications in plumbing and irrigation systems. The clear formula leaves joints visually clean, and the medium-body viscosity works reliably across a range of pipe sizes and ambient conditions. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters use this cement where code-compliant, solvent-welded PVC connections are required on Schedule 40 systems.
This solvent cement is used in residential and light commercial plumbing, irrigation, and conduit installations where PVC Schedule 40 pipe is specified. It is appropriate for wet and dry applications on pipe up to 8 inches in diameter at Schedule 40 wall thickness. The fast-set formulation helps reduce work time on multi-joint runs, making it practical for both service work and new construction. It meets NSF and ASTM D2564 standards, supporting use in systems that carry potable water where those certifications are required.
Designed for solvent-welding PVC plastic pipe and fittings. Rated for use on 6-inch diameter Schedule 40 and 8-inch diameter Schedule 40 PVC pipe per ASTM D2564.
PVC solvent cement joints must be made by a qualified plumber or pipefitter following applicable codes such as the IPC or local plumbing authority requirements. Before applying cement, cut pipe square, deburr the end, and dry-fit all joints. Apply cement to both the pipe end and the fitting socket using the dauber, then seat the pipe fully and hold briefly. Work in a well-ventilated area and keep the can sealed when not in use, as solvent cement is flammable and fumes are hazardous in enclosed spaces.
