The UTICA BOILERS DXL820503240303 is a mid-efficiency, atmospheric-combustion, gas-fired hot water boiler built around a proven cast iron heat exchanger. Rated at 205 MBH input capacity with 84% efficiency, it is designed for residential and light-commercial hydronic heating systems. The boiler ships with a circulator pump, ASME relief valve, combination temperature/pressure gauge, and a 3/4-inch drain valve already installed. Electronic ignition with a 24-volt intermittent pilot control and a motorized vent damper contribute to energy savings over standing-pilot designs. Installation and service access are simplified by a low-profile integral draft diverter and a pull-out burner drawer with a removable burner tube tray.
This boiler is suited for forced hot water heating applications vented through an existing masonry or listed chimney vent. The internal Hydrolevel operating control modulates water temperature based on system demand, reducing unnecessary burner cycles. A built-in low water cutoff (LWCO) protects the heat exchanger from low-water conditions. The unit is factory-wired with a complete gas control system including stainless steel burners, an automatic redundant combination gas valve, and a combination pilot burner, electrode, and sensor assembly. Licensed HVAC and plumbing contractors typically handle installation and commissioning.
Designed as an OEM-style atmospheric hot water boiler for chimney-vented residential and light-commercial hydronic heating systems requiring a 205 MBH input capacity at mid-efficiency.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC contractor or plumber in accordance with local codes, the International Fuel Gas Code (IFGC), and the boiler manufacturer's installation manual. Shut off gas supply and electrical power before servicing any components. The chimney vent connector and flue must be properly sized and inspected prior to operation. Do not modify the factory-installed gas train, LWCO wiring, or relief valve piping.
