The UTICA BOILERS DXL615003240303 is a gas-fired, atmospheric-combustion hot water boiler built around a cast iron heat exchanger for long-term residential and light-commercial heating applications. Rated at 150 MBH and operating at mid-efficiency, this unit ships completely wired and assembled with its gas control system, stainless steel burners, automatic redundant combination gas valve, and a 24-volt intermittent pilot control with continuous retry 100% shut-off. Electronic ignition and a motorized vent damper deliver energy savings over standing-pilot designs. A licensed HVAC technician or plumber handles installation and startup.
This boiler is intended for hydronic heating systems using chimney vent venting. The low-profile integral draft diverter reduces installation height by up to 30 percent compared to models with external draft diverter hoods, making it suitable for tight mechanical rooms. The internal Hydrolevel operating control adjusts water temperature based on system demand, and a built-in low water cutoff (LWCO) protects the unit from low water conditions. The temperature LED display with dial-type settings and diagnostic indicator lights gives service technicians fast visual feedback during commissioning and troubleshooting.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and direct application fit for residential and light-commercial forced hot water heating systems requiring chimney vent atmospheric-combustion gas boilers at the 150 MBH capacity range.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician or plumber in accordance with local mechanical codes, the International Fuel Gas Code (IFGC), and the boiler manufacturer documentation. Shut off gas supply and disconnect electrical power before any service work. Verify chimney sizing meets venting requirements before commissioning. Do not operate the unit without confirming proper water fill, system pressure, and LWCO function.
