The USA INDUSTRIALS BULK-RS-H70-245 is a stock-length Buna-N (nitrile) rubber strip rated at 70 Shore A durometer. It measures 2 inches wide by 60 inches long and is suited for sealing, gasketing, vibration dampening, and surface protection applications across mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and industrial maintenance work. With a tensile strength range of 800 to 1000 psi and an operating temperature range of -20 degrees F to 170 degrees F, this strip handles moderate mechanical stress and a broad thermal range. Buna-N is well regarded for its resistance to oils, fuels, and many common hydraulic fluids, making it a practical choice in trade environments where petroleum-based fluid exposure is a concern.
This rubber strip is appropriate for residential and commercial applications where a firm yet flexible sealing or cushioning material is needed. Typical uses include custom-cut gaskets, pipe and equipment vibration isolation pads, door and access panel seals, and protective bumpers. It can be trimmed to length on the jobsite with a utility knife or straight-edge cutter. HVAC technicians, plumbers, pipefitters, and general maintenance mechanics regularly stock this type of material for field fabrication of seals and isolators.
Designed as a general-purpose Buna-N rubber strip for trade and industrial sealing, gasketing, and vibration isolation applications where a 70 Shore A nitrile material is specified.
Cut to the required length using a sharp utility knife and a straight metal edge for clean, accurate cuts. Ensure mating surfaces are clean and free of oils or debris before installing as a gasket or seal. When used for vibration isolation, verify that the strip is sized to carry the expected load without excessive compression that would reduce its isolating effect. Consult applicable mechanical or building codes for gasket material requirements in pressure-rated or listed assemblies.
