The USA INDUSTRIALS BULK-PS-PTFE-12 is a virgin-grade polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) plastic sheet cut to 12 inches wide and 1 foot long at 1/16 inch thickness with a dimensional tolerance of plus or minus 0.010 inches. Virgin PTFE delivers the full chemical resistance, low friction coefficient, and non-stick surface that the material is known for, without the property degradation associated with reprocessed stock. This sheet is white in color and suited for fabrication tasks where dimensional accuracy and material purity matter. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, mechanical contractors, and industrial maintenance crews use PTFE sheet stock as a gasket blank, slide pad, or sealing surface in corrosive or high-temperature environments.
This sheet is commonly used in plumbing and HVAC applications where a chemically inert, low-friction barrier is required. Typical uses include cutting custom gaskets for flanged connections, fabricating slide pads under pipe supports, creating valve seat inserts, and providing a non-reactive sealing surface in systems handling aggressive fluids or gases. The 12-inch by 12-inch format gives enough blank area for most standard gasket patterns without excess waste. Virgin-grade material is specified when cleanliness standards or traceability requirements apply, such as in food-grade or chemical-process piping installations.
Designed as a general-purpose PTFE sheet blank suitable for cutting custom gaskets, slide pads, and sealing components in plumbing, HVAC, and industrial piping applications where chemical resistance and low friction are required.
PTFE sheet stock is typically fabricated by plumbers, pipefitters, or mechanical technicians using sharp utility knives, gasket punches, or band saws with fine-tooth blades. Depressurize and isolate any piping system before replacing or installing gaskets or sealing components cut from this sheet. Follow applicable codes such as the International Plumbing Code (IPC) or system-specific flange torque and assembly procedures provided by the equipment manufacturer. Avoid exposing cut PTFE components to open flame, as thermal decomposition of PTFE produces hazardous fumes.
