The US MOTORS WDP34S2ACR is a three-phase, energy-efficient AC motor with a TENV (Totally Enclosed Non-Ventilated) enclosure, designed for demanding industrial and commercial applications where moisture and contaminants are a concern. Rated at 3/4 HP and 1725 RPM, this motor operates on 208 to 230/460 volts at 60 Hz. It features a 56C frame with a C-Face mount, making it a direct-fit option for coupled or direct-drive installations. Insulation Class F construction and a 1.15 service factor provide thermal headroom for continuous-duty operation. Licensed electricians and mechanical contractors typically handle installation in light industrial, food service, or washdown environments.
This motor is suited for washdown-duty applications where water spray and cleaning agents are present. The TENV enclosure eliminates external ventilation openings, preventing ingress of moisture and debris without relying on a cooling fan. Typical install scenarios include pump drives, conveyor systems, and processing equipment in facilities that require regular washdown cycles. The 56C C-Face frame allows direct coupling to pumps or gearboxes using a standard NEMA C-Face adapter, reducing alignment time during installation. The reversible rotation makes it flexible for a range of driven equipment configurations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or upgrade for NEMA 56C C-Face three-phase motor applications in washdown and light industrial environments. Also listed under Dayton part number 4VZ17.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NEC requirements for three-phase motor circuits, including proper overcurrent protection and grounding. Disconnect and lock out all power before handling motor connections or mounting hardware. Verify that supply voltage and phase configuration match the motor nameplate before energizing. Do not exceed the rated ambient operating temperature of 40 degrees F minimum; confirm site conditions are within the motor's rated thermal limits before commissioning.
